any news leaks, gossip, or chatter on the m&p 3.0 version?

None that I have seen. S&W seems to generate less leaks than many other gun makers do so there could be something new coming next week we haven't heard about.

If you are willing to settle for speculation I think the new trigger in the Shield plus will eventually become standard in all M&Ps. And there are always new variations with optics cuts, different colors, etc. But aside from that "If it ain't broke don't fix it" will likely prevail.

yeap... referring to the old rumors of modular chassis like the sig. one modular chassis many different calibers. frames, etc.....

Hello,
I would love to see a Shield 45 Plus with more rounds, little wider grip and Plus trigger.

I like the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of design.

All things considered its a pretty well done design. Improvements on the 2.0? , maybe 2.1?

A model WITHOUT a rail

An ambi slide stop / release that actually works.

Slide cut for optics

As someone who's owned a number of SIG P320s (and still have 1), I have to say the thought of an M&P modular pistol is a great idea. I swapped out a trigger on one of my previous SIGs in about 10 minutes. It took me an hour on my M&P and I had to use a vise and a 2nd trigger.

My current SIG is a Frankensteined P320 X Compact. The only thing on it that's "stock" is the slide and barrel. I've swapped out grip modules, slides, barrels, FCUs, etc between all of my previous SIGs. Again, brilliant idea.
