Good evening! I recently purchased a M&P 40 as a kit that came with a BladeTech holster, 3 mags and a mag holder. Love the gun, love the holster; the only problem is the holster is for right-handed shooters. Before I go out and purchase a new holster, I thought I would see what other M&P owners are using.

Thanks in advance for your tips.

Cheers!

I have a left handed holster from El Paso saddlery for my MP Pro 5". It's been a great holster, been my EDC one for more than a year now....should get many more years from it.

Gould and Goodrich make some nice holsters too, I have one of those for my S&W 66 combat Magnum revolver.

I am a lefty and use a Blackhawk Serpa duty holster for my Glock 19. It came with both a belt and paddle carry system. Very secure carry and easy release. It is what most of my copper friends recommend.

cant you just reverse the leather back piece. It would be rough side out but thats no big deal. One of my best selling holsters is made rough side out. Give it a try with the layout.

Left-handed, and like the Comp-Tac Paddle Holster. Had the Blade Tech paddle holster for awhile, but like the Comp-Tac better. Also, it takes 4-6 weeks to get the Blade Tech, and only a little over a week to get the Comp-Tac.

I like my Raven Phantom for concealed carry.
For IDPA I use CKCS paddle holster (CKCS on Facebook).

I have a left handed Comp-Tac which I used for all three of my M&Ps (40, 9 and 22). I like it a lot, it arrived quickly and was reasonably priced.

I wanted to thank everyone for the advise. I decided to go with the Blackhawk SERPA. It seems to do the job; not sure about the paddle vs belt, but I will have to get used to it.

I primarily have used the paddle with mine. Very important to get a good sturdy gun belt to go with it. Nice choice!
