I have a .40c that I am thinking about putting on a full size slide. I dont care for short barrels on compacts, but with my build a full size grip is a bit much to conceal. Also the sight radius, muzzle velocity etc is attractive. I see the new PC slide kits are about to be out and I am looking to go that route. I own a PC Sheild and love it. I have full Apex on my .40c short of a barrel because of my current temptations. Anyone have any experience or insight into this? I do not know much about the ATEI hybrid and I am not too crazy about having a non stock recoil spring setup as long as they are readily available.

This is a little off topic, because I have zero experience with the AETI kit you reference. However, I'm interested in some other services offered by the same company, so I'm curious about others experiences with AETI. I'm looking at having them mill a slide for mounting an RMR.

I called the company yesterday to ask a few questions. Great experience. The lady who answered the phone was patient, knowledgeable, courteous, and offered no pressure to order anything. Just happy to answer my questions.

The online reviews I've seen concerning AETI are overwhelmingly positive. My own very brief experience is very good.

Hope you don't mind my jumping in here and drifting this a bit.

So, what say you forum members? Any feedback for me or the OP?

AdamC149, I have the ATEI Hybrid kit for my 40 and it works great! I carry it in a IWB holster and the added length of the barrel does not effect my concealing it at all. I consider it a Win/Win carry piece...full size sight radius with a short grip for excellent conceal ability!

The ATEI Hybrid Kit is on my list of things I want to own. Have a buddy with one and it has been flawless.
