I got to handle one yesterday, felt really good in my hand.I might get one down the road.
This paticular dealer wants $576 plus tax,is that high or the going rate?
What are some of the pros and cons to this handgun?

I have not shot the M&P45 Compact but the full size is a truly superb gun - accurate, great ergonomics, and less perceived recoil than my 1911's.

High...

You might check with Bud's ... usually as good a price as anyone.

One of our range members is a FFL as well as a LEO so he routinely brings in toys for us to play with.I happen to love the M+P 45 compact far better that the full size M+P because I have really small hands for a guy and the C-S 9 and the Compact M+P are the right size for me.That being said it is dead on accurate right out of the box and a wonderful choice if you like the "Tactical Tupperware".Peace Out and God Bless........Mike

They are roughtly comparable to a Glock 19 in dimensions, although the grip on the S&W, with the small backstrap insert, is smaller in circumference thatn the 19, and its a .45 auto vs. a 9mm ! Glock slide is a bit thinner, lighter, but they are close.

Sounds interesting, I wonder where I am going to have to go to see one of these. I might forget about my quest for a 4516 and pick one of these up instead.
