finally got some much needed range time with my 45, after having to send back to s&w for extractor repair I got some serious shooting in with reloads and polymer lead, shoots great and no issues at all starting to like this gun better then my khar 40 cw .Now to find a good holster maybe start caring the little gem, maybe a tauga holster owb might do the trick.

For my M&P 45 I bought a DeSanti Speed Scabbard. Good quality holster, but, was really stiff and hard to draw pistol out of even after adjusting it. Finally settled on a Blackhawk Serpa. Great holster and is also a favorite of local LEOs. I carry a 1911 in a Serpa too..

The DeSantis Speed Scabbard is one of my favorite leather holsters. One tip I learned a long time ago with leather holsters-wrap the pistol in one or two layers of wax paper (wax side out) and let pistol sit in holster over night. After 24 hours, remove the pistol from holster, remove the wax paper and slide the pistol into the holster-should fit like a glove! I've done this with several leather holsters and with several different handguns. Don't give up on that DeSantis just yet :D Oh, and I have a Serpa CQC for every one of my handguns too :-)

For my M&P 45 I use RDR holster IWB. They are Kydex and I believe they make them when they get an order. I bought one for my 45 and my M&P 9 fits in it just fine.

What load of polymer lead are you shooting?

what load

it is the first time i have used these , they are 200 g, shoots very easy great for target practice , i do not have a 0crono so I just check to make sure they are not tumbling as they hit target. got them from Eggleston munitions had a special on red , white, and blue leads looks cool when loaded up in trays

I have a DeSantis mini scabbard for my .40 and I love it. It fits perfectly and is easy to draw from. Since the .45 frame isn't a whole lot bigger, the mini for the .40 may work for the .45 as well. If DeSantis does not have one out yet for the .45, other than the speed scabbard, I bet they will soon.

I have always had excellent service out of DeSantis Thumb Break holsters. The one I have for my 9 Shield was just a little snug on the Shield 45, and the thumb break was a little short, so I just went ahead and got one specifically for the 45. Love them...they ride high and with a good belt, you can carry all day and hardly know you have it on your side.
