I may have been hallucinating, but I thought that I had seen last year or maybe the year before M&P45s with a magazine capacity of like 13 or 14 rounds, but when I look on their website, I only see 10 rd magazines.

Am I crazy? Did S&W previously sell the M&P45 with a 13 or 14 round magazine?
(It's ok if the answer to both questions is yes.)

Thanks.

They make a 14rd magazine but it sticks out below the mag well quite a ways. It kinda makes it look like a cordless drill.

my .45 in fde came with the 10 rd mags but you can get the 14 rds from 44mag.com in fde also

HAHAHAHAHA! :)

To the OP: I saw a prototype from a S&W-rep before it was released and it was a 10 rounder at that time.

Yeah, but its a 45. :D Love shooting mine. I have 2 of the 14 rounders and 6 of the 10 rounders. I got mine because I wanted an American made 45 plastic handgun. :D Turned out better than I expected. The 14 round magazines work quite well. IMO, the trigger is better so I am glad I got the M&P rather than the XD.

The only 14 round mags I 've seen for sale on the internet have been desert brown. I'd like to have some of the high cap mags for mine, even if they do look stupid. As Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does." I guess if they work I don't care how much more stupid I look.

So what's the problem? :)

Full size frame is 10+1 and compact is 8+1.
