I have cleaned many guns but this is my first automatic. I break down my M&P and the lower part of the gun needs a good cleaning. All the parts are gritty dirty and so on, i have a air compressor with one of the air guns that has a hose on it so you can put the hose in a cleaning solution (CLP) and blast the burnt powder and grit out of the action of the gun. It can get $$$$$ flushing out the gun with CLP. Could I use a solvent or paint thinner or ???? to just flush it out then use CLP to oil it up, suggestions are welcome THX!

I also use an air compressor when cleaning. I use MPro7, which is a non-toxix, bio-degradeable solution that has no order. I stick the parts in an old tupperware bowl and use a nylon brush to clean. I then wipe off the parts and for the frame and slide and used compressed air for the hard to reach areas. Works well. After I'm all done, I use coffee filters to strain the used MPro7, so the solution is clean.
