I'm looking for the same thing but for my M&P 40fs-Fobus said thier G17RB is supposed to fit one and the retention is on the frame instead of on the light-IMO a better design because the frames are sturdier than a tac light. I know your M&P 45 is longer so it may not fit, if you have the midsized one then it should.
For a thigh rig I got a blackhawk omega universal-it holds the M&P 40 fs and again the rentention is on the frame-its primarily used for my P250 40 fullsized though, it will accomadate 1911's as well. Some manufacturers like blackhawk make light specific holsters-good if you are using a surefire, insight, streamlight or blackhawks xiphos or a more common tac light. I actually prefer the Sig STL900L on my M&P over a TLR2. So I have to find a universal fit holster or have a custom one made.
I was hoping somone would chime in with experience on this question myself. If you are in need of kydex-raven makes one-just expect to wait 2 months.
