Just bought a S&W M&P 9 2.0 with threaded barrel mounted comp from the performance center and it will not cycle ammo at all. Failure to feed on every shot. Always. Thinking a softer spring may be in order. Anyone else have and cure this situation?

Monarch 115gr (Academy Sports house brand), Fiocchi 115gr, Sellier & Bellot 115gr, & Remington 115gr. All previous ammo 100% reliable in every other firearm I own. Will try removing the comp next time out and cycle through some 145gr. Might just need to be ridden hard and put away wet, it’s the first S&W I’ve had a problem with in forever.

Remove the barrel and be sure it passes a Plunk Test . Linked below . Compare the feed ramps of the new barrel to the stock barrel too. If all looks good then remove the comp and test . A photo of a cartridge Failing To Feed might help use with second guessing . Will your new barrel chamber a cartridge working slide with full control feeding the first round from a mag . Will you new barrel feed a round when less the a full mag is used ? Try only one round with the slide open and locked before insert mag and easy the slide forward slowly to see if it chambers , If it does try One round in the mag and rack back and let it fly ? Second guessing a fix for someone problems can be worthless too ! I always control my slide for the first round fired useing +P 124gr ammo , slide locked back , mag inserted and slowly chamber the first round and then fire see if following rounds feed . Good luck

If you need to send your pistol home send a letter detailing problems in the gun box .
