M&P 9 2.0 Compact - thumb safety tension

Hello all,

On my pistol, I have the S&W ambi thumb safety. I do not wish to un-install it, as I have a reason or two for wanting to keep it intact. My question to the Forum is this: is anyone aware of a way to stiffen up the lug spring so that the safety doesn't snick off so easily? Just looking at the spring, it seems like a 1911 plunger tube spring might work, but I haven't tried it yet, as I don't have one on hand that isn't in a gun right now.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure what your issue is. I am a lefty and wanted to go to guns with an ambi safety that would work for a left handed shooter but the right sided safety does not work properly for a left handed shooter as it does for a right handed shooter. I put mine up for sale for that reason. Please explain the issue you are having.
