Is the Pro ... Worth the extra $$$?

All I know... It sure fired perfectly on the try-out range.

I did not have time to shoot the original 9

New guy ... Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Depends on your own use and preferences. There is about $80-100 increase in the price for the Pro. If you plan on adding the fiber optic sight and a trigger job then it's probably even money. The 3/4" extra sight radius doesn't hurt unless you see using it as a CCW. I like a fiber optic front and plain black rear, so for me it was a no brainer. I use that type of setup on most of my guns but some people don't care for that setup. I keep hoping for a Pro40 to add to the stable. If the sights are not the big appeal you might look at the 9L, still 5" with the standard 3-dot sights and stock trigger.

Thank you for the replies... I was very impressed.

My Glock 17 will be for sale so I can order the Pro.

I paid $629 for mine one week ago. So, the premium price, if any, was small. The gun shoots great and is very accurate. I got accustomed to the trigger after about one magazine. There is approximately 1/4" take up before the trigger is firm and ready to fire. The trigger is very smooth from that point and requires minimal pressure to fire. I have put approximately 100 rounds through the gun so far and am very pleased with the performance.

If I didn't live in Mass, I'd be all over one.

We have a similar problem. Does not make Cali's list either. If I could find a Cali compliant standard slide, I could get the lower in state with the replacement slide, then install the pro slide once its in my possession. No anyone that would let me borrow/rent a mag disconnect slide???
