I got both the full size m&p 9 and the 9c with thumb safety on them. I know I can remove the safety and put the plugs in and then use the crimson laser grips. My question is it possible to have a gunsmith to chop off the one side so you can use the thumb safety on the other side and then use the crimson laser grip will having the safety still? Or have a custom safety made. If anybody has done this can you give me your feedback about how it's been working. I like the safety but would like to be able to use the laser grips of I want. I read that the full size grips is just a little bigger than the medium grips. What about the compact laser grips? Thanks for the help.

I've read that all you have to do is cut the right side off and that the laser will essentially cover the exposed area.

I've only seen it in one YouTube vid where the owner actually shows/reviews it. I believe it was on a VTAC 9mm.

You can do this yourself. There are lots of videos on how to r&r the sear block, then cut the right side off inside the frame.

Many people have done this. You can do a search on the subject above. Personally we were not impressed with the crimson trace on the husbands 9c. While shooting it would turn itself on or off. We took it off and sold it.

I might just do this since I don't use the right side thumb safety but I am still up in the air about the trace. What size was the trace grip closes to on the compact AGoyette?
