Hello I have a glock 19 and it is dead on accurate. But, I prefer the M&P 9 in terms of ergonomics and I just like the M&P series better as a whole. So I am thinking about trading my glock 19 for an M&P 9 but was wondering if the M&P is as accurate. I know this is all going to depend on the shooter but just wanted to see. I would go to my local range and rent one but they have the M&P 9 with the older barrel with a slower rate of twist and no improved trigger. So, do you think the M&P 9 is as accurate as a g19?

Thanks

Probably depends more on the shooter adjusting between the two different guns.

Both are great weapons.Owned both- really prefer the M&P

I shoot both an Glock-17 and M&P 9mm Pro in the usual pistol games. No significant difference in accuracy. Prefer the ergonomics of the M&P but need to shoot in some only Glock matches.

I have shot both. And while I like the Glock and think that it is a very fine sidearm and is as accurate as the model allows, when I was shopping for a new carry gun, I selected the M&P FS 9mm. I find it as concealable and it is more accurate. And, one more thing....Unless you really need to trade, I would hang onto that Glock and buy a M&P and have both.

I don't have a G19 but do have a G17 Gen 3, I don't like the way the 17 feels in my hand but I am very accurate with this gun, very nice tight groups. I have a Shield 9, had a 9c and recently purchased a new FS 9 with the new barrel and latest parts, right off the bat I could not shoot nice groups, more of a shotgun pattern. The FS 9 is now back in MA where I hope they replace the barrel, I am able to get a .011 feeler gauge between the barrel hood and breach face, so as it stands I am much more accurate with the Glock than I am with the M&P's. I'm hoping the FS 9 comes back with a new found accuracy, if not I'm going to move on to something else.

Well thanks everyone for the replies I will be picking up an M&P 9 and an M&P 22 compact later on this week.
