Took my M&P Bodyguard .380 out for a spin today. 50 rounds fired. All my own reloads. 100%. I always hit a bit low with it but I was shooting at 10 yards or so. 6 rounds dumped as fast as I could pull the trigger and all landed in a paper plate sized group in the slightly below the X on the B27 target. The new one might be an improvement but this one is just fine for what it is. I don’t see myself upgrading anytime soon.

I agree and this is good to hear.
My M&P Bodyguard has had zero hick-ups or issues.

The NON M&P Bodyguard 2.0 is sure inviting....but eager buyers should know the M&P version, The M&P Bodyguard .380 is still a very agreeable firearm

Pretty sure I will get 1 of 2.0 variety but it will be in 2025....a short 120 days away!!

Yeah. I might get a 2.0 one day, but for a pocket gun I actually like the longer trigger pull of the M&P Bodyguard. I am sure the 2.0 would be a bit more accurate but for the range this gun is meant for, I’m ok with the trigger pull. Maybe if the safety in the new version was actually usable I’d jump at it but I held one the other day in the shop and it felt good and the trigger was nice(a bit light for my tastes for a pocket gun), but the safety was unusable, although a kydex holster would take care of that. I don’t use the safety on my M&P once it is holstered but for a light trigger like in the 2.0 I’d prefer it.

I also prefer the M&P Bodyguard with DAO trigger, especially for pocket carry. Don't want a light short trigger pull on that type of pistol. Also don't need 10+ rounds weighing down my pocket.

Mine shoots a 4-6" group all day long at 25 Yards. What more "accuracy" is required of a .380? I have the NMS version - which S&W stopped selling - but you can buy the filler piece if you want to remove the manual safety. It's completely safe without it.

I have the manual safety version of the standard Bodyguard - also 100% reliable btw - and it's very unobtrusive, and not easily moved. I like it for putting the pistol in bag, and I carry it on my person with the safety off. It's not going to engage or disengage on it's own even in a pocket.

Great little pistol. See no need for the 2.0, I have bigger guns for belt carry.

I’ve had the unofficial second generation LCP for about 10 yrs, hundreds of FMJ & HP rounds and never a malfunction of any kind. It’s very light w/the 7 round mag and as an elderly senior is all I need when I require deep concealment.
