I was looking at a new M&P40 full size and the round count is only 10 in each mag. The guy told me I could get 14 round mags for it. I have not seen it in person but I was wondering if this is a Kalifornia gun? And if so do they make the trigger pull heavier?

There are several states with evil magazine laws restricting the good folks to 10 rounds. SFAIK, only Massachusetts requires a heavier trigger.

M&Ps with the model number prefix "10" come with 10 round mags, while free-state guns have a prefix of "20". The People's Republic of Massachusetts guns are 109250 (mag safety, no lock) and 109350 (no mag safety, considerably more rare from what I've seen), and the "50" designates the 10lbs. trigger. The guns will accept free state magazines.

We here in MA just need to be safer than other states and the 10 round mags keep the criminals from shooting up Boston and other places and towns in the bay state.

It's a sad state...I do not think the gang members follow the 10rd rule....or the trigger pull weights!! So MASS. has given the bad guys the upper hand!! we see it every day in the news.

If one was to say "Purchase" hi-cap M&P mags in another state and you live in MA will the Mag police come get you? If you are at the range and you have hi-cap mags for your M&P who would say anything?

They have the same crap here in NY with 10 round cap for non LEO.If you are involved in a shooting and you have a non pre ban Hi Cap Mag you will be brought up on charges and BYE BYE License.Same goes for just carrying same and you are stopped by LEO.....God Bless.....Mike

If your behavior ever attracts police attention and they find your post-ban high capacity mags, you will be charged with a 10 year mandatory sentence felony (in Mass).

And trust me, if you are ever investigated by the police, they will know you have firearms thanks to all the bullshit licenses you have to have merely to own guns and they will go to your house and rummage through your collection.

It's so messed up.... If someone breaks into your house and you put him down with your M&P with a high cap mag in the gun but you only use 2 shots to drop the bad guy they can charge you for the high cap mag!? It's so crazy!

It is so because we are made the criminals in society not the perp who does real crime. The truth is many police should have a high capacity mag ban so that they get to the range and practice with thier service pistols and not relying on "Spray and Pray".God Bless .....Mike

The People's Republic of Massachusetts is not rational when it comes to gun laws.

Good Gun Loving people should pack up and leave The Communist State of Mass and move to Vermont.

I would do that but once they hear I was from MA the fine people from Vermont would throw me back ....And who can blame them

Looks like some folks will need to buy a pocket full of 10 round mags and learn to reload real fast. I have a M&P 40c with 4 10 round mags. I bought 1 15 round mag just to practice with. It sticks out the bottom some, but works good.

Unfortunately they really would just need to leave New England. With how liberal Vermont and NH have been getting lately I can't see the 2nd amendment surviving much longer up there. Beautiful part of the country, but sadly run by individuals who feel bad for criminals and think it would be wrong for me to shoot an attacker.

I am convinced that MA uses anti-gun legislation to do exactly what is being recommended - force people to move.

The result is a state largely free of Republicans/Conservatives where Democrat rule is solidified virtually forever.

Unfortunately this cancer can spread. As state's see their legislators fall to Democrats (the REAL intent of the 'stimulus' package), they are likely to see the exact same thing...

Predatory legislation to alter the political power base.

Places like CA, NY, NJ, MA are breeding grounds for the type of legislation that will be attempted across the country, and in FEDERAL legislation, if the Democrat stranglehold on power is successful.

Leftist social engineering is incubated in locations where Democrats rule the roost, but they're not content with just knocking off a few states.

The lesson to take away from these states is that it could happen to YOU and to all of us, if the Dems aren't stopped.
