"Hey guys question for you. I just bought, but not yet arrived, a M&P 4: Compact with the suppressor 4.625" barrel.
Rather than cut the barrel down to 106MM whch would be still legal for barrel length I was thinking, if it will work. to install a factory Ver2, 4.25" barrel on the gun and cutting it down to 106MM or just leaving it as is. The gun will be used in IDPA CCP Division competitions.
My question is will the barrel drop in and function or is the Compact slide not the same, other than length than the Full Size pistol with the 4.25" barrel.
If you have both, would you mid seeing if the longer barrel will fir your compact slide and function.
