I've noticed with my 2.0 compact if I drop an empty mag on a hard surface the base plate moves a fraction of an inch. It's enough that if I push on it it will click back into place. I never noticed this with Glock mags. Anyone else notice this? Could it be attributed to steel vs polymer mags?

I believe the Glock mags have an extra tab or lock that makes it more difficult to swap out their base plates & that could account for this.

It could be that Glock mags have tabs on the sides of the mag tube which lock the floor plate in place. Disassembly requires you to squeeze the sides of the magazine when removing the floor plate. Unless you force it off that is.

Youtube has some vids of guys doing it both ways.

Oops, I took too long. Old Cop beat me to it

You could always change out base plates and locking plates with the early ones from the 1.0s. Or, modify the 2.0 mags to use the post & hole system of the early mags.

I have noticed the 2.0 compact mag to do the exact same thing. I have 3 mags and not sure if it is only one of them or if they all do it.

Has not been an issue or caused a malfunction as I notice this when reloading and reseat the base plate.
