I need to stay out of the gun shop for a while. I bought a S&W M&P Shield 9mm ported from the performance center today. Its a really nice gun. Got the up graded sights and trigger and the barrel is ported. I haven't shot it yet but I know its going to shoot good. I think I'm going to really like it.

Product: Performance Center® Ported M&P®9 SHIELD

I have the 9 Shield and received it before the Performance Center version was available. Your gun should be a little less snappy on the perceived recoil end. I haven't put any +Ps through it because the manual advised it would require more servicing in that regard. I'll just use defensive rounds. The Shield is a fun gun to shoot. If you carry you might want to upgrade each mag by one round via the Magguts spring kit. I also have a ten round ProMag magazine but it's too stiff for the last round. I have a CTC Green Laserguard on my Shield. The gun replaced my Smith CS45 for which I have quite a few parts to offer for sale.

Love mine, carry it every single day. I'm using a galco King Tuck and it's perfect.

It was late in the day when I bought it. I will shoot it this week end. Woo hoo. I have got to find a holster for it.

Congrats on the new gun! I have the regular Shield in 9mm and just love it. Carry it everyday. I added Tru-Glo TFO sights to it and it made a big improvement. Happy Shooting!! :D
