It could be based on the S&W M1000 receiver. The M1000 was a SUPERB shotgun and is still highly sought after among avid bird hunters. The steel-framed 'Waterfowler' version might be better than the aluminum frame. I'd buy either one.

I'd vote for a steel framed version. i like a 12ga w some weight to suck up recoil. Maybe add a speed feed adjustable stock, integrated LED light in the extended mag tube cover, Tritium bead......
Recoil in an aluminum-receivered gun??? WHAT recoil? I shoot a Benelli M1 Super90 and Beretta 1201FP with Brenneke slugs all day long. There ain't no stinkin' recoil.... LOL
