M&P15 Sport bullet button removal

Amy tips? I'm in CA and with the ludicrous laws I'm going featureless. Trying to remove my formerly CA compliant bullet button and replacing it with a normal mag release. Having a hard time removing the bullet button. May be glued in there. Any tips, advice, pointers would be appreciated.

Read elsewhere a #10 spanner bit in a nut driver does the trick. Hope it works for me.

It's held in with red loctite. Some people have been able to break it free using a heat gun and then the wrench. Others haven't gotten the heat trick to work, so they've drilled it out.
