M&P40/Fobus Holster!

I don't normally carry my pistol in a Fobus but today I took it with me to the farm. Walked around with it for two hours at max and when I removed it the holster had already made a tiny bare 1/16th inch spot right at the front of the slide on both sides. Sure thought the finish would have held up better than that. I also shot it for the first time today. The trigger to me is really gritty. Maybe it will get better but to me it should have been better when it left the factory. My XD's triggers are a lot smoother for sure.

Fobus holsters are notorious for marring a gun's finish and for being easily removed from your body during a struggle. I have a Fobus, it works perfect for my kids airsoft gun and he seems to like it.

I won't get into the M&P trigger versus the XD trigger debate.

I'm not a Fobus fan...I've got a Comp-Tac paddle that I like MUCH better. Of course, any time you carry a gun in a kydex or plastic holster, if there's any play at all it's liable to wear the finish. That's why any gun I have that I really care what it looks like gets leather. My M&P is more of a "business" gun...the finish can get a little beat up and I'm not going to get upset.

As for the trigger, I dry-fired the crap out of mine watching a movie one day and it did wonders.

I have a Galco "Concealable" leather holster that has done the same thing to the same described spot on my M&P 9. As far as holster wear, leather may be gentler than kydex, but it will still wear the finish. Gun still functions the same, now it's developing character

I have a fobus holster and never had no wear problems on my gun.

do a search for the burwell trigger job from the mp forum. I done it my fs and c and they are sweet triggers now.
