Won two M&P45's on a gun auction site with two winning bids in the last two months and a fellow work employee also won two NIB (the below model) from a dealer with no reserve for $356 and one $380 each. Plus S&W $50 rebates is a killer deal ($306 and $320 respectively). Dealer had no clue what he had. I even called him and asked if he had the one advertised (wrong color and lack of manual safety) and he said no just these. My buddy told me about it after he got one as a tip. They are now gone, but these were my best gun deal ever.:D

I *REALLY* want a 45c, but I saw a "used, never fired" 40 (mid or full, don't recall) for $470 tonight. You can see the the (what looked like) parkerization on the feed ramp still there & what looks like just a few chamberings.

I'm really on the fence about getting it as I know I will still want the 45c.

Was is das "mid sized" M&P40? I thought there is just a compact, a 4.25" barrel full size, and a 5.0 inch Pro (e.g., no equivalent to the 4.0" M&P45 mid-size).

I was bidding against you on both of those guns and others, and finally got one just before the rebate ended. I wanted it to go with my M&P 9 and thought it was a great price for a standard version. I was really surprised when I opened it and found the LE version, even if it had been on the shelf for two years. It is a great shooting gun.
I was a little worried about buying from that seller due to some negative discussion on this forum and others, so the gun was a real deal. I did try and get another when I found out that was what he was selling. But it was past the rebate and his auctions ended soon after, and as far as I can tell he is no longer selling on GB.
Anyone know what made him quit selling or did he change his name again?

GJH77, so it was you driving up the price:) What price did you win yours on?

I agree that dealer is a little shady, but my friend and I both scored two before the rebates ended. I was going to get one more, but they ran out. (military 3rd rebate).

We were also thinking the same thing about why he is not on GB anymore? GB is totally set up for the dealers not the buyers (so it must be a really good reason). I think my buddy called Discover Card on him for charging 3% when it was NOT stated so on the deal. He did not charge me 3% for AMX.

I think he purchased over 100 and dumped them on GB. My guess is a major dealer or S&W gave him a way below cost deal. He did not know what he had or did and played dumb. He could have gotten much more for these if he placed a true description as LEO black box, Night sights, and 3 magazines. I do not care that they were two years old and they were totally NIB with three magazines.

I kept thinking it was you running up the price!! :D If you look at their website, it is hard to believe he did not know what he had, and went with that description, especially since he had the actual picture of the LE model on his website. When I started bidding, I emailed him the question regarding the dark earth vs. black, and his response was all they had was black. If was also funny that his ask a question function for the one site was disabled, and I had to go thru the other seller name he was using.
I ended at $415, after missing several in the high $300's, and went that high with the rebate ending that week. I think you got the one before and one after me. I saw your buddy's comment on the CC charge as well,as I was concerned I would get that also, but had the conversation when I paid for mine.
Anyway it all worked out good, just sorry I did not find it in time to have gotten another one.

GJH77,

$415 is still a great buy. If I had another $50 rebate I would pay $415 for a 3rd one:D Even without a rebate its a great deal.

Good deal!

Nice! I got the .40 version since I could get 9mm and .357 SIG barrels and have a multi caliber firearm. the .45 may be next here.

Great Advisor

Where, oh where could one find a superior gun guru as intelligent and handsome as your buddy?

My buddy is a SIG guru. Intelligent and handsome not so much? He did give me a great tip on these MP45's.
