Hello, new member, first post, and a cry for help, lol.

I just purchased a new M&P9 2.0 Compact online. Had it shipped to my local range/dealer/FFL as they were out of stock of this model. Prior to it coming in, ordered some extra mags for it.
In my excitement when they called me it was in, opened them up and loaded them, and headed to the range.
Well, seems I accidently purchased 1.0 Compact mags.....
Due to opening them, I can't return/exchange them, bought those online as well, from Bud's. M&P was from a different retailer.
I am in MA, so 10 rd mags only. Yeah, I know....

I have searched all over for just the base, not sure what it is actually called, have seen people call it a few things, but none of them seem correct, at least for search purposes - base plate (no), base pad, etc. General search, EBay, google image search, you name it, nada.
Saw a post here from a couple of years ago, he ended up getting them direct from S&W, but he went through some hell back and forth with them as they didn't seem to know what he was talking about. If I could find a correct name, or part number, I could try that, hence hoping the forum can help in some way.
Would be great if I could just find a place selling them so I can salvage the existing new mags instead of trying to sell them and buy another set of the correct ones (bought 4 of them, ouch).
I have attached a pic of exactly what I am looking for, just the plastic base part.
Thanks in advance for any help with this, appreciated.

Update: Seems they are possibly called "butt plates". Found an exploded parts diagram for the M&P9 from Midwest Gun Works. They have the full size mag version, but that is too tall. Sent them an email of what I am looking for. I took the mag apart, no part number on them. Revised my search, still nada out there I can find....

I can't say what S&W "officially" calls them but base pad/base plate/floor plate "extension" is what I used on a similar issue.

So for clarification, the 1.0 Compact is the same size as the 2.0 Subcompact. Neither of the "extensions" in your pic look like the ones off the 1.0 Compact.

Here are some of my 1.0 Compact mags. Notice there's virtually no "extension" on them. The 1.0 Compact mags are too short to lock in. The 1.0 Full will stick out a bit but will lock in.

The longer one in your pic looks like the full size.

Regardless, I had essentially the same issue. I bought my fullsize 1.0 and a bunch of spare mags (10 rounds as I live in CA). Later I bought the Compact 1.0 but no extra mags were available anywhere. I realized the mag bodies were the same so I tried to find the "extensions" to convert a few of my full size to compact. No joy. I called S&W CS and explained. All I needed were a few of the base plates for the CA compliant, 10 rounds mags so I could convert a few of my full size to flush fit (no spacer) my compact. While I was at it, I requested the ones with the pinky extension (not an issue for you). They sent me 3, no cost. Fit like OEM (well, because the are!)

Another option, if they are full size, is to use an xgrip adapter to fill the space left by the full size mag. I have a few of these as well when I want to use my full size in my 1.0 compact. I got the xgrips before I got the replacement base plates so I could use my full size mags as spares for the compact. Don't use them much anymore.

So give S&W CS a call. Don't worry about the nomenclature or part number, just explain you bought the "wrong size" mags and want to "convert" them to flush fit your 2.0 compact. If the agent doesn't understand or can't help, try again the next day.

Thank you Saudade. Nope, the red outlined extension is for the 2.0 Compact mag, the one not outlined is for the full size mag but for 10 rounds.
The mags I bought by mistake are the ones your pic. I got 3 with pinky extensions and 1 without. Don't need the pinky extensions, but was still waiting for the M&P to arrive. Costly mistake lol.

Thanks 2wheels, checked them, at least online, and nada.

I have sent an email to S&W, and a seller on Ebay who sells a ton of M&P parts, as well as Midwest Gun earlier today.
I will try calling S&W first of the week, since it is the weekend.

LOL....Bought a Shield Plus a couple weeks before the M&P9, upgraded both my carry and home from S/A XD's, a 3 and 4". Now if they worked in the Shield, that would be great haha.
