I recently purchased a M&P9 and i love it!!! I don't plan to change anything on it for awhile, until I get comfortable shooting it as it is. But for the sake of curiosity, what kinds of upgrades or modifications out there have yall done, or are worth doing in the future?

Thanks!

After having mine stock for about 6 months and 6-700 rounds I decided to mod mine for IDPA (ESP). I just added the Apex FSS with polymer trigger, Dawson FO front sight w/adjustable rear sight, Speedshooter mag well. The only reason I upgraded it is because I bought a Pro with 5" barrel a couple of months ago and my regular FS wasn't getting as much love.

I would recommend shooting several hundred rounds before messing with anything. M&p's really don't need any upgrades or mods but it is pretty fun once you start doing so. I have done and highly recommend the apex DCAEK kit along with a talon grip. I chose granulate and love it. My next upgrade will be trijicon hd sights and possibly a viridian light/laser if I win the lottery. Next is a Dillion sdb for reloading my .45s and more mags. Addicting.

1) Apex Duty Carry Enhancement Kit (DCAEK);

2) Trijicon SA37 night sights;

3) Extra magazines.

That's what I did to all my M&P pistols.

Thabks guys. Definitely plan to put some rounds through it be fore messing with anything. Just wanted to know so I can waste my time browsing for ****s n gigs.

Trijicon night sights, SureFire flashlight, hogue mp9 grip, trigger job, Raven kydex holster (fitted for taclight), extra 17 round mag and a 32 round mag for range fun :)

The 2 5" Pro's got FSS kits installed in them. One with the aluminum trigger, one with the polymer. The CORE, which had a Apex competition kit in it already, had that kit removed (it was having lots of issues) and had the FSS kit put in. All issues resolved. The carry guns (9c's), Apex DCAEK kits installed and Apex polymer triggers installed. On one 9c has Warren Tactical FO front, blacked out rear, sights on it and the other has a HiViz FO front sight. Apex products really make the trigger feel great IMO.

Any feedback on if it's worth switching out the recoil spring for one that is a little higher in tension?

There really is no reason to do that unless you decide to shoot 9 Major, but if that was what you were going to do, you wouldn't be asking this question.
