I picked up a used M&P9L for $410.00. It came with one ten round magazine. There is a caution on the slide that it will fire without a mag installed, but, It won't. It has a disconnect lever. What have I got? Thanks for any help...

It sounds like you have a standard M&P with a 9L top end on it. Check the serial number prefix. What state are you in??

I'm in SC and the serial number prefix is DSP.
