M1 carbine

I have no problems shooting my Blue Sky marked 1943 Inland.

I guess my Carbine never read the negative comments about import marked Carbines. It is very accurate and functions 100%. (Good thing I cancelled its internet account before it found out how bad an import marked Carbine is supposed to be.)

That said, I agree that if S&W produced a new M1 Carbine, it would be tempting, particularly if it was priced less that the AOs. I have a hard time with the price of an AO given the simple design of the carbine and modern manufacturing methods. But it seems that S&W is moving towards more guns with a lot of poly in them so I won't hold my breath.

i love my Ruger Mini-14 ( could not afford an Ar-15 ) but my most precious firearm is my Plainfield M 1 Carbine ... this one will never leave me ... at NO price ... so much good handling and fun to shoot ..

I'm afraid you're right. Distressing, isn't it?
