I finally bought and installed a T-grip on my M58 and turned it over to a law enforcement friend at the range with 4 rounds. 4 rings of the gong at the 100m range later, it looks like LE stays in the blood. I didn't do quite that well, but well enough for me.

Anybody got a recommendation for a holster for a M58? IWB, pancake, even shoulder holster although I'm just a 180lb 5'9" guy.

I use a FIST 1A clip leather/kydex hybrid for my 5" N frame. I also use a Milt Sparks VM-II for pants that have the belt loop where the FIST holster's clip would nornally go. I prefer the FIST, but both are excellent. I've seen holsters that Lobo made that were very VM-II-like and those might be the ticket as no doubt they will cost less than Sparks and show up much sooner.

Your Model 58 will fit any holster made for the N-frame 4" revolvers except those formed for the "pencil" barrels. Choice of carry method (IWB, OWB, etc) will require some thought on your usual wardrobe (OWB with a 4" barrel will require cover garments long enough to cover the holstered revolver).

Some folks can carry the N-frame revolvers IWB comfortably. Many users find OWB to be more comfortable, especially for all day use.

Look at Simply Rugged Holsters. Their Sourdough pancake holster will carry a large framed revolver with ease.

I use a Alessi belt slide, but those are hard to come by today. Simply Rugged could be what you are looking for.

I got this holster with my #58, no name on it. I usually carry the #58 in a Bianchi Cyclone cross-draw or a Safariland shoulder holster. Mine is not a safe queen, but a working gun.

A recent gun mag reviews the new M58 and recommends a Safariland model made for 4" N-frames, but I think I'll call Tauris first. Thanks, guys!
