m64 or m65 snubbie for ccw

I'm a huge fan of three-inch revolvers for carry and home protection duty......I think they offer the best set of good features in a small package. Decent sight radius, portability, ammo capacity and so on. Just make sure you practice reloading them, with both speed strips and speedloaders. It takes practice!

From the top, Rossi 5-shot 44 Special, S&W 65, 686+, Ruger SP-101, and S&W 36. ALL have served me well as CCW guns.

Is the m64 okay with a diet of +P, or should they be only for carry and limited range practice?

Yes. Any K frame made after they started with model numbers is safe with +P ammo. My current model 10 (4 inch barrel) lives on a diet of Remington 158gr +P Lead Semiwadcutter Hollow Points. In snubs I prefer the 125-130gr bullets fir just a little more velocity, but the Remington load works too. Dale
