I've added a M66-5 to my meager collection and think I have a M65-5 on the hook, at least I hope so. What are the most used speed loaders for Models 65 and 66? What about good holsters, preferably leather? Carry will be mostly OWB and possibly a good shoulder rig. Thanks to all who reply.

Don Hume, right here in OK, has leather holsters at value prices.
HKS loaders are inexpensive and good as any if you're not shooting competition. The 65 and 66 use the same loaders (K frame).

For speedloaders checkout Safariland and HKS. Bianchi also makes speedstrips, that hold 6 rounds in a rubber strip. There are other makers of speedloaders but these are the ones I have had experience in using. There are many good makers of holsters out there. Some are Bianchi, Safariland, Don Hume, El Paso Saddlery, Tex Shoemaker & Sons, Milt Sparks, Galco, De Santis, Stallion Leather, and Bob Mernickle.

I have custom made pancake OWB holsters from both Simply Rugged, and Lobo Gunleather. Prices from both of these gentlemen is more than reasonable, their quality of workmanship is outstanding. I also have some holsters from some of the big brand names. Overall, I think I got much more bang for my buck from Simply Rugged and Lobo Gunleather. Check out their web sites. Both of them have a superior product, and both have several different styles of holster.

I have both hks and safariland speed loaders it seems to me the safariland might a little faster to load the cylinder then the hks. Jeff

For competition get Safariland Comp III speedloaders and Ready Tactical speedloader holders.

For competition, Safariland III speed-loaders work well. For general use, the HKS for K-frame (10) work well.

Holsters, for the money, right here on the Forum from Lobo Gun Leather. IWB and OWB holsters at a reasonable price.

Just my two-cents worth........
