what is the difference between a M66 or a 66 2 1/2 inch stainless.thanks for any help

Most Models 19/66, depending on date of manufacture, were square butted. The 2 1/2" guns were round butt. The only other differences were the 2 1/2" guns had a shorter extractor rod and center pin to accommodate the short barrel. Otherwise they are identical.
