Was easy. Watched some YouTube videos on fiber optic front sights. Drilled out the front sight using a 3/64 bit. Used the Dremel to cut out the top to allow light in. Used a piece of leftover fiber optic from the kit I got from Dawson Precision when I bought and installed a fiber optic front sight on a Glock. heated up a box cutter blade and used it to seal the ends of the fiber optic after I slid it in the hole. Works great! Took me about 30 minutes; was very careful and went slow. Here's some pics:

very nice job. and this can be done on most models :)

Not being a SD gun not many people would buy night sights for a 22LR. Well unless they were shooting critters at night.

Outstanding job on the front sight. Very well done.

Good news! Dawson Precision just released a bunch of replacement sights for the 22 Compact. Black, fiber optic, and tritium. Even suppressor height.

Check them out: www.dawsonprecision.com Home Page

I ordered a set of the plain rear/FO front. Got my shipping notice today (same day I ordered). When they come in, I'll do a complete set of pictures and review.
