Usually I have used standard large pistol primers for smith 45acp and 44 loading unique/ titegroup. Found some cci 350 primers! Has anyone been switching over and what might one expect on pressure differences? Most of my sources - no say -.

If you do a search here, I believe there is some info on this. Most seem to agree, that you can use the mag primer if you are not loading a maximum load.

If that's all you can find you have no choice but to use them. All you really need to do is use your usual method of working up a new load, start low and work your way up like you always do. I've found when using a Magnum primer in handgun rounds in place of a standard one I usually need to reduce the charge by only .1gr to .2gr. In rifle rounds with their larger charges, I find there's no difference in charge needed.
