Like to get back to shooting in my gun clubs IDPA chapter would like to know what aftermarket options are available to protect my magazine floor plates. The floor at our indoor range is of course concrete and I can see where ejected magazines hitting the concrete will eventually lead to a broken floor plate.

Can't speak for many brands, but I do prefer the rubber base pads for my CZ 75 series. That said, be sure to read the rules - IDPA has specific base pad requirements depending on division you shoot.

Find out if they will allow the use if a rubber mat. That solves that if they have no issues with you using one. You can install a rubber bumper pad also. That should help a bit. When practicing combat style shooting drills and performing rapid reloads, I use designated magazines that only get used at the range for said drills. I keep them segregated in my shooting bag expressly for that purpose and never mix them in with regular EDC mag's. Yes, that means buying extra magazines however you will never fear carrying a damaged magazine while CCW / EDC. Works for me.
