UPLULA. Got mine at walmart and it works great for my Shield and any other .9mm-.45cal brought to my house to shoot. I want to say we've even used it on a .380, but I can't remember if he was using it or not.

Agree with using the UpLula loader. Faster and much easier on the fingers. Place the mag on a solid surface, put the loader over the mag, lightly compress the loader, push down on the loader and insert a round, release pressure on the loader and repeat for the next rounds until full.

With the UpLula (which I have to use because of arthritis), I had a suggestion from a range officer to always load the first round by hand. That way the tab will always press down on an even surface, and keep the loader from driving off to one side in mags that are staggered (such as the shield).

I did it that way to begin with, but experimented, and found it to make sense as it twists the hand less.

UPLULA! Don't go to the range without it.

I bought a glock loader for $7.00 and it works just fine.

Uplula for doule stack, Baby Uplula (I think is the name) for single stack, and StripLula for AR15.

Ditto what everyone else has written.
And no... You do NOT need the Single-Stack Adapter for the Shield. :)

Agree with everyone else, my wife uses the Uplula and loves it. We only have one so I do it by hand. Lol

Over time the mags get easier to load too.

Same as everyone else...UPLULA. I ordered mine from MidwayUSA with some other range gear. You will need to rest the magazine base plate on a hard surface to push down on though.

UPLULA all the way, don't forget the 1911A1 aligner for single stack mags.

I use the Uplula for everything from .380 to .45. It works for single or double stacked, on 1911s, Beretta 92s, my S&W Shield, Ruger SRs, and other guns besides. I have two of 'em and never go to the range without one.

I have the uplula and load single or double stack without an aligner or adapter.

Yes,it works without the aligner but a lot easier with one. The price looks a little high but they come two in a package. When I got my first package they were $13.00 now they are $18.00 for the pair. Comes with a ring to attach it to the UPULUA, unsnap it and it swings out of the way but it is always with you.

Take the mag apart and make sure there aren't 2 followers in it! I have seen a couple reports of this happening to guys, and both times, it was a shield 9mm mag.

UPLULA all the way baby. With the exception of a Glock 36. The plastic comes up a little too far and it won't work. I have thought about taking off a little of the plastic but I don't know if that would damage the function of the magazine. Works on everything else I have tried.
