I see that CDNN has factory blued magazines on sale for $19.99 (that is correct, they are NOT Promag
).
My question is this:
For some reason, when my 5904 gets just a little dirty, mags won't drop free when it's empty and the slide is forward. I realize that the slide should be locked back when it's empty, but still it bothers me. To reiterate, the mag will drop when locked back but not when it's forward. After I clean the mag well, it again drops fine, but doesn't take but a few rounds to make it not drop again.
The reason for the reference to the blued magazines is this: All my current mags are stainless. So, I'm wondering if the blued mags are just a tad thinner and will drop freer. I had a Beretta PX4 Storm that this was the case. However, on that gun the stainless mags were for the PX4 Duty which was beefier and had thicker mags.
Anyway, just wondering................
