Magazine Question

I just couldn't resist the new addition. I was in Shooters Outpost Hooksett, NH and got the new M&P 15-22, but it only came with one magazine, and they didn't have any S&W ones. I got a couple of "Plinker Tactical" 35 round mags so at least I'd have a few to use at the range this weekend, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has used these mags.

Ha,Ha,Ha, really. A year ago you could find the magazines everywhere but now, good luck.

Put Plinker tactical in the forum search box and you'll get several threads on them. Basically, you have a 50-50 chance they will function and the same chance they will be junk.

I haven't had any problems with mine. So far so good. Did u get the load assist with them? It'll save your fingers

I've got two PT and haven't really had any problem out of em. I think they're quality control is an issue so some people have had bad experiences. Load assist is a must; After about 20 rds it gets ugly.
Also check tacticalvantage.com for when they get some Promag magazines in stock.

Age old AR GI mag process,,, take a 12'' ruler [ or something ] and work your follower and spring up and down a couple dozen times in a new mag,,, smooth things up a bit. Not saying it will work in a '' Plinker'' mag,,,, worth a try,,, [ yes, an old long time AR shooter here ]

Which model did you get? I saw they had the regular, Real Tree and MOE editions.

They had quite a few when I was in there 2 weeks agoo but same thing no extra mags. Have fun with that gun.

Just call and get on the s&w backorder list. Shipments are now being sent out from Jan and large volumes. I think we will be caught up in the next few months.

I had to settle for some plinker tacticals also when i got mine. First time i took them out i had problems with one of the mags. After a few outings it fixed itself. Been flawless since then. Still havent gotten the load assist lol. I got a pretty good method to loading them. Doesnt bother me to much. Have fun

I figured it might be a long shot weather they were any good or not. I got the MOE version. It seemed like a real good price and I think with those magpul accessories it is the best value. I knew mags are tough to come by and the prices are really horrible. I just never considered it would be that tough to get 22 LR mags. I asked them at the store about the "mag assist", but they apparently never ordered any to come with the mags. I will try to order some from S&W and get on the list, at least I have a couple that I can use this weekend. Thanks for the help!!
