Hi folks.
I recently inherited a S&W 40F, however it has no magazine we can source from my deceased uncle. I found most everything else.

What mags if any are compatible?
I usually buy ammo from Natchezs site they only show Sigs & CZ mags in 40 & .357.
"Smith & Wesson SW40F 40 S&W 15-Round Factory Magazine" are Out of Stock everywhere.
would this work? :
Just a moment...

Or should I just hit the local gun stores in town?
We have more than a few for a small town.

According to posts in the Sigma section, the current SD40 magazine works fine - S&W part number 199270000.

update

Thanks for the welcome.
Sig 40 S&W 12 round mag does not fit, not chamber a round.
Bought it from GunMag warehouse.
I shall keep looking.

Clyde Armory in Athens, GA had a bin full of used S&W magazines a week ago. I did not notice if they were 9mm or .40 S&W.

I find the SD mags, both 9 & 40 in the used mag boxes at many gun stores that have used mag boxes. Many times they are $10-20 each. I quit buying them because have plenty now.

The SD40 is a 14 rd magazine. The Sw40F is 15. Just a little too short. May be ok for range but thats all. If that even works.

I find them for those prices so frequently in the used mag bins at many LGS that I quit buying them. One day in the future, they will dry up and we will wish we bought them all, much like the 3rd Gen mags....
