I have been getting several PM's and emails about what I used to paint my magazines. So here is the info guys.

I wanted something that would match FDE the best so I took a Magpul FDE trigger guard with me into home depot and rifled their rattlecan options. The closest one I found was Rustoleum Dark Taupe in satin. After 2 coats I noticed that it started building a reflective sheen. So after I let it dry, I sanded it down using some 0000 steel wool. It is not a perfect match but not bad for $5 rattle can.

lighting is off in this pic but you can still tell how it matches up.

+1 nice cheap way to customize your accessories. I wanna try this on my iron sights and see how it turns out. By the way, where did you get that cover for your scope?

Great. Just don't spray past where the mag goes into the mag well. So that the top quarter portion is unpainted. specifically the feed lips and the mag release cavity. So far it has been good-to-go.

It is an aimpoint cover in coyote brown.

thanks been trying to find a cover in a different color other than black and didn't want to have to paint it.
