Magpul MOE Pistol Grip

Has anyone installed a Magpul MOE Pistol Grip on their S & W Model 15-22? I'm considering same and was concerned about any problems encountered. It should be a straight-forward install, I hope. The only concern I have is the spring that fits in the top of the grip and extends into the receiver holding the safety lever in place.

You will be fine, never heard of anyone having issues installing a grip. I have a hogue...easy install. Just be careful when tightening the thing back up. It has been known for people to strip the thread in the lower.

The only magpul pistol grips I heard have issues is the original MIAD flavor. It didn't have a shelf to support the take down spring which is retained by the grip. Don't know if the new MIAD have addressed this or not.

All the other Magpul grips are fine. Like Ghostmutt, I also use a Hogue with a beaver tail and Ergo grips on my 15-22's

I put a MIAD on my MP15-22 and encountered that problem. I just put the backstrap on that I wanted and it went OK. If I were to remove that when installed, there might be a problem.

I don't think you'd have a problem with the MOE version.

I put a Hogue finger grooved with beavertail had to cut off a small tab on grip but fits and looks grt

Check out the LaRue A-PEG grips. They are absolutely fantastic and they are cheaper than Magpul.

I do have a MAID. but I do not have it on my 15-22 but there are simple modifications you can make to it and it will work on the 15-22. Just do an online search and you should be able to find them.
