So I just got a Mapul MOE Carbine stock <Commercial>for my 15-22. I notice that the fitment is really tight, the Stock fit but its just tuff to slide back and forth..I was wondering if anyone had this same issue or maybe a fix ? Im just worried about damaging my stock tube...any help thanks..:)

Are you using the stock buffer tube or the Magpul buffer tube for the MOE collapsible stock?

If was my understanding when I fitted my last AR I built with all Magpul hardware that the MOE buttstock required the Magpul bufer tube are the fittment would be off (this was with either commercial or Milspec tubes). I got the MOE buttstock kit which included the buffer tube and the stock to tube fit is perfect.

I'm using the stock buffer tube...im searching the forums and everywhere people are using mil-spec.....hmmmm

The 15-22 buffer tube is cosmetic purely to accomodate a butt stock and is not removable. My MOE version's butt stock slides easily.

Hope you get it figured out.

I've put the milspec magpul CTR stock on mine.
It fits perfectly.
It's my understanding - and that of every AR buff i asked - that the faux buffertube of the m&p 15-22 is in fact milspec.

Alright Guys I really thank you for the help,I took the 15-22 to the gun shop and tried on both Stocks and the MilSpec is the winner!!

THanks baddoggy....

I bought the mil spec, which is the proper spec, and it fits great. Try and return your commercial spec and have them replace it for a mil spec.
