Hello, I am in the market for a single point sling and have been considering the Magpul MS2. I recently discovered the MS3, but am unsure about which to go with(MS2/3.) What are the differences in the two slings, and also when should the MS3 be released? On Midway USA it says soon to be released, but it is not even on Magpuls website.

Both slings have two connectors. One always goes to the rear connection point on the rifle. The second either clips to the sling itself for single point configuration, or is moved to the front connection point on the rifle for two point configuration. On the MS2, these connectors are different types. On the MS3, they are both the same type of connector. The MS3 is more of an internal improvement for Magpul to streamline production and meet market demand for these slings. Either one is fine and basically the same sling.

The magpul slings tend to stick to velcro. Given the nature of AR usage, I would look for something else (unless you have no velcro pouches, and don't intend to). Know that I have two MS2 slings, so I'm not just making this up. Other than this one problem, I like the slings...
