Has anyone got any experience with one or know anyone with one?

They claim they sell more tractors worldwide than anyone. Parts are made in India and the units are assembled in Ga.

They look very nice, price is quite a bit less than a JD or Kubota, New Holland, Kioti etc. There are 2 dealers within 10 miles of me.

Made in India but the ones I listed above are all made in Japan, Korea, etc. so I don't think that's important.

I'm seriously looking for one with about 25-28 hp., loader and hoe.

Help me out with your knowledge if you can.

Thanks

My dad and I own 2.

One is for business and it get beat on by our guys. Put new tires on it last year. Still runs great, has thousands of hour it.

The other is used for small farming jobs and work around our 150 acres. Great trackers!!

I pass one sitting outside of Franklin, NC two or three times a month. It has been there for YEARS, along with a large sign proclaiming it is junk and saying several unkind things about the local dealer. That is my only experience with this brand.

Mahindras are basicly older models of International Harvester tractors from around the 1960-70s. They bought the patents. Pretty good tractors, but technically way behind the times. The real problem with them is parts avalibility. Just because you have a dealer near you doesn't mean they will have what you need and sometimes the wait can be months.

Anything wrong with John Deere? Made in USA is all I need to know - keep Americans working every day.

Mahindra builds Jeep for the Asian market, International Navistar, and is tied in with a few other auto makers in Europe.
Theyre a pretty large company.
They used to advertise around mid Tennessee, but I haven't seen any ads in quite some time.
I can't say anything about their quality though.

They are a huge company. They're India's number one car mfg and they make Fords over there for Ford USA.

I've studied them up pretty good but I see both good and bad reviews. Just wonder what everyone here thinks/knows about them.

A friend that I used to buy round bales from had one that I used to load the bales with, I thought it was heavy, well made and did the job, it hammered more than my Kubota diesels do but I would not be afraid of one. We have a dealer here thats in SW Mo and NW Ark and he sells a lot of them. Jeff

My BIL has one that has been trouble-free for years. I would consider one for light duty around the barns, but my Kabota will never be replaced. Down-time costs money, and when something needs attention, I don't want to wait.

I would go with a Kubota, have had one for 10yrs and not one problem, the front Loader will take any Skid Steer attachment.

Mahindra started business during ww2 building jeeps under contract for allied forces

they began building tractors for international harvester in the 1960's

they build tracors in india, as does john deere,

in fact the 03 series john deeres like the 5203 are indian tractors
TractorData.com John Deere 5203 tractor information

the 10 series mahindras are actually south Korean TYM tractors, good tractors powered by perkins diesels

http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/001/4/9/1497-mahindra-2810.html

they entered into this relationship to offer the larger tractors that they did not build, 70-100 hp

I have a 1999,5210 john deere, a 1970, 1355 oliver, and a 1982,6060 allis chalmers, all bought new, if I was looking to buy a mid size tractor today I would probably buy a Mahindra, they are heavier built than the newer john deeres or kubotas

I pulled the trigger and got a 3016. I was surprised to see a plate on the frame stating "Made in Japan by Mitsubishi Motors for Mahindra". The loader and hoe are American made.

I'm good with that. Mitsu diesels have a real good record.

I've had it for a couple of weeks and am really impressed with it.

Nice looking tractor.

I collect cub cadets, int 154 estate tractors, farmall cubs.
It's my other hobby.

I'm in the middle of fabricating a 154 with a front end loader and backhoe.
I refuse to spend the big $$ then it will sit there when my work is done. Plus everyone tells me I can't do it. With all my engineering experience, my machine building experience and welding and structural design education it's time to prove everyone wrong for they have no clue. I was on a roll with the front subframe done, the lifting loader arms done, then I got prostate cancer. I'm not giving up yet.

Massey-Ferguson

How about Massey Ferguson??? Are they still made here? Or Canada?

It's rough seeing all the foreign road equipment used (not that it isn't VERY good stuff) where Caterpillar used to dominate.

We had this problem with a 6610 Ford. The thing that is beneficial to our JD 6220 is within 100 miles there are easily 6 stocking dealers so someone will have the part I need to not ruin a weekend. That and the 4 wheel drive :D

As far as I know, there are no more tractors made IN USA, except maybe the huge specialty kinds, and I'm not even sure of that.

Sorry to tell you that they're made in Japan and Germany and possibly China.

I own a 55 HP Mahindra. 2 WD wish I done 4WD. Farm 160 acres, does every thing I ask of it. Have not needed any parts in the 5 years I've owned it.

My brother bought a 65 HP 4WDone about 8 years ago for his farm. He is the poster child for destroying an anvil with a rubber hammer. It held up, I did the research, yes they did make tractors for IH, and they were good ones. No problems.

Now the smaller units like you are really asking about are made in Japan or China. Just like our favorite old American brands. I know folks who own them, they love them.

Mahindra did not get to be the worlds largest dealer by selling junk.
