It's the FFL's discretion on if they give a copy to a non FFL

It is their business, most of the time is is simply a fax or e mail back and forth. If you want to send something YOUR FFL should initiate contact.

If the copy is not marked in bold lettering NOT for Face to Face. Some yahoos try to use the FFL for a purchase on their own at some other story. As a "FFL" they do not need to go through a background check.

Seems kinda lame to me as I would still require an ID that matches the FFL. But that's what they tell me.

But this is happening and my LGS will not give them out either and they are pretty easy going.

I'm sorry. I thought you meant Strahovski, as in Yvonne.

Both are strange. That guy for not just emailing you and honestly you fll who doesn't have an email. It's cheaper, faster and free. And takes a of 12 seconds to set up. Can be checked anywhere, anytime and any place. Both run their businesses the way they see fit.

I agree, but it's his business, just like Mahovsky has a perfect right to refuse to send his FFL to a non-dealer.

Follow up: After calling the second time, the company actually did mail out a copy of the FFL. My local dealer did not tell me he had received it until I went in today to get the gun back from him. So, Mahovsky's Metalife did mail out the copy after I had called them the second time, a week after emailing them my dealer's FFL. I still wish they would have just emailed the copy to me, but that's fine as long as they do what they said they would do (in this case snail mail it).

So, my apologies to Mahovsky Metalife for getting upset when I thought they had failed to mail the copy the second phone call. They got it right eventually, and there is no emergency about nickel plating a revolver.

Andy Horvath is cutting a bbl on a 25-2 for me and I'm not sure if I want it blue or hard chrome yet. Mahovsky may get the gun, has a great reputation from people in NE Ohio. Andy doesn't always answer the phone, hard to be a one man shop and get things done I guess. When I searched his work, some said the hard chrome was done a long time ago and looked as if done last week. Larry
