A sudden stop to all transmissions? No maydays? Sounds like a bomb was set off on board or possibly all that fuel went up in a massive explosion.

Ya never know... Pilot suicide is a possibility. 20 years ago a FedEx pilot riding as a passenger on a FedEx flight went berserk with a hammer in the cockpit.

BOMB????

Possible TEST RUN of a new type SHOE or other Bomb by EXTREMISTS?

Prayers to all the families.

The biggest clue so far is traces of oil that a Vietnamese plane spotted while flying over the search area. The oil slicks are between 6 and 9 miles long and are suspected to be from the missing plane, the Vietnam government's official news agency reported. The traces of oil were found about 90 miles south of Tho Chu Island, the report said.

Stolen passports seems to have ended up on 2 passengers on the plane...could be a bomb

For instance, after the airline released a manifest, Austria denied that one of its citizens was onboard the flight as the list stated. The Austrian citizen was safe and sound, and his passport had been stolen two years ago, Austrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Weiss told CNN.

Similarly, Italy's foreign ministry confirmed that no Italians were onboard MH370, even though an Italian was listed on the manifest. Malaysian officials said they were aware of reports that the Italian's passport was also stolen, but had not confirmed it.

I am saying explosion. The entire flight was over land

Well now I'm really confused. Originally, looking at a map, Malaysia appeared to be an island. Now, looking at a better map, it's part island, part peninsula. Either way, part of the flight is over water. Which would be where terrorists ideally like to have their air plane bombs explode as it make evidence recovery much more difficult.

Loss of siginal, and loss of radar tracking at altitude.
Definately a catastrophic failure of airframe which is almost impossible without an outside influence.

Malaysia is a hub for terrorist organizations, al Qaeda has had meetings there, and Two of the larger terror groups in the area work out of Kuala Lampur and both have funding from AQ.
Jemaah Islamiyah is the group responsible for the 2002 Bali bombing, and my bet if it was a local based terrorist attack.
The other is a group known as Abu Sayyaf, but they generally stick to kidnapping and ambushes around tourist resorts.
They did bomb a ferry in 2004 killing about 120.
