A friend sent this to me in anticipation of Veterans' day on November 11, and asked me to give it wide distribution. I thought you might like to see it.

Make sure that you expand to fit your screen. It is a beautiful tribute to all soldiers.

Fitting and touching tribute to our military. Listen carefully when Sgt McKensie sings in Scottish English.

TURN UP YOUR SOUND, WATCH FULL SCREEN...

Mansions!

Sir, thank you so much for posting this touching tribute to those who have given so much to preserve our liberty. It is especially timely as on 10 Oct. our Mississippi division of the Patriot Guard has been honored to have been requested to take part in a multi-state mission to provide a motorcycle escort for the funeral of one of our great American Heroes of the Greatest Generation who passed into the hands of the Lord yesterday.

John H. Nichols, Sr.(age 90) is a Purple Heart recipient who served in the 101st Airborne Division and made the jump into Normandy during the D-Day Invasion. He will be escorted by the PGR through nine states from South Mississippi to his native Pennsylvania where he will be laid to rest. It is a humbling honor to be invited to participate in this effort and your contribution of Mansions of the Lord will be shared with my fellow PGR members.

America's fallen Heroes; let us never forget.

Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna put some miles on that one.

I save this one for Memorial Day service, as I find it a little more fitting at that time....but a great tune any day.

I couldn't get through it.....

Forum decorum dictates I can't say what I really think and feel, except that I got too angry to continue even though it was a beautiful piece.

God bless our troops.

I will pass this link on, and hope more reactions like mine could help.

I cry a little whenever I watch, "We Were Soldiers" and hear this song. It was also played at President Reagan's funeral, one of the most impressive that I've seen.

My son has a Purple Heart with two Oak Leaf clusters, and I still thank God that he survived those wounds and returned home from Iraq and is no longer on active duty.

It must be taught to our children-we must do it- The higher calling-the brotherhoods and sisterhoods- duty, honor, and country. The reasons why we become so emotional when this hym is sung.
