I really like to get as high a grip as possible on my revolvers. I was wondering if anyone makes the M-73 style with the high backstrap for K/l/n-frame S&W revolvers (other than custom made models)?

Is this the type of grip you are looking for ? These were made in France by a gentleman named Trausch who died several years ago. No one has bought the dies and started making them again.

That’s it, thanks! Figures nobody is making them anymore, too bad. I wish I knew where those dies were; maybe somebody will pull them out of that box in the back of the closet and give them a go again, I’ll be searching periodically for sure. Guess with enough ‘incentive ‘ they could be made out of exotic wood by a custom grip maker; but then it would be too pretty to carry!

Nill Griffe makes these in wood (for both Manurhin and S&W), but they're $$$$

Some days ago I bought a set of Trausch grips for my MR73. I saw a set of Trausch for S&W K/L frame too. I'll go to look for them again .
However another gentleman is making similar grips , Mr Talamoni

even if they are not very different from American models like Pachmayrs, Hogue, Uncle Mike or Davis grips.

EDIT : ok, I found the grips you want. If you like, I can buy them and ship to US from here. Otherwise, I can give you the link and you will debate with the seller the overseas shipment
