I went pawn shopping this weekend and made an impluse buy. I bought a like new Marlin 917V for $200 with a 4-12 BSA scope. I don't know if the price was good or not but believe that it was in range for what these things are selling for. I was pleased that it was one of the New Haven guns. I had never owned a rifle in 17 HMR and wanted to try it out. I was suprised at how acccurate it was. I was able to get 1" or less groups from Winchester 17gr ammo. I like it. Now I am thinking about replacing the wood stock with a laminate one and upgrading the scope.
