Did anyone else watch Wild America? I used to really enjoy it.

Believe it or not, I was thinking about that show just yesterday! I liked it because it was true and not like all of the "made-up" reality shows of today.

Yeah loved that show, and didn't they do a movie back in the late 90's about him and his brothers growing up. It was pretty funny some of the predicaments that they got into trying to photograph wildlife.

"In March 2015, Stouffer attempted to finance a 4K resolution remastering of Wild America via a Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter ended in failure March 18, 2015 having raised only $3,410 of the target $1,250,000 (0.27%) and amassing just 39 backers."

What shame that so much money gets dumped into elections but they were only able to raise $3,410.

Loved that show. Also used to watch on a regular basis Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" Too bad they don't make shows like that any longer.

Marty is a customer of mine (water treatment) in his house east of Aspen. Wikipedia got all the details pretty right. He is a decent and down to earth guy. The issue with cutting a trail on FS property is just rich bunny huggers flexing their muscles. His house is sold and he is moving to build down valley.
His style of film doesn't have enough PC garbage for the current network big wheels. I hope he finds new backers for his stuff.

He would occasionally come down valley and shoot trap with us. Seemed like a nice guy. Me and my kids, him and his kids sought the same shelter in a sudden downpour. It wasn't that big of shelter and we got to know each other better than we would have liked.
