Masters of Defense/Blackhawk! Knives?

Years ago I remember wanting the Masters Of Defense CQD. But it was very expensive for a production folder.

Now, Blackhawk! Produces the knife, at a much reduced price point. Just under 100 bucks. Aluminum handle, seatbelt cutter, and carbide glass breaker. 440c steel. Seems like a cool gadget. I got one, and it seems sturdy.

Anybody have either the original MOD model, and/or this one? Any thoughts on durability and lock strength? The label says that these are issued to militaries. Anyone know a things about that?

I had the whole collection, the numbered box set and several users! That was a nice knife but big! Pain to carry as I remember.

My favorite that I can remember was the fixed blade by Massad Ayoob and the folder by James Keating - Keating was the one who turned me onto the MOD knives during a class.
