Matches Cancelled?

Are matches/competitions in your area being cancelled or scaled back because of the ammo shortage and prices?

The matches I go to are BPCR long range matches and we load our own.........

In this area IDPA match directors are allowing people to shoot matches with 22 LR ammo since 9mm is so scarce. If they didn't do that match fees would drop off due to lower attendance. I haven't seen this happen at USPSA matches yet.

I'd actually be pretty interested to see a whole class of 22 matches, be a great way to get younger and less affluent shooters more interested in the sport aspect of it all.

Shot in a Cowboy Action match recently in Punta Gorda, FL, where competitors were allowed to shoot 22s.

I'd love to see a 22 cal division in both IDPA and USPSA. Our local director has shown resistance to the idea unfortunately. Almost 30 years ago our local club allowed folks to shoot 22 in USPSA. My son shot 22 in USPSA until he was 11 and then moved up to 38 special.

Our local match director takes things too serious. There is some training value but to a lot of us it's just a game. It's an archade game on steroids. I think cowboy action should do the same with wranglers, 22 Henry's and inexpensive 410 single shot shotguns.

Northern WV IDPA matches are canceled until further notice..... Sucks. like I said in a previous post. Let the local box stores run out of ball gloves or bats and what would happen.....

Our IDPA group here in Mn has a .22 as a specialty division which is at the match directors discretion. The are running .22 pistol as well as .22 Pcc divisions. The bulk of our pcc shooters are now shooting .22. For those who have made the leap into the pcc division, this is a good intro.
